They vary from small renovations and upgrades to retirement homes and innovative development sites using the latest construction techniques and technologies. Under way in the village of Maulden at present is a project for 17 retirement bungalows and is a development which sits on the site of a former garden centre. It has been in the planning process for a number of years to ensure that the properties on the site are appropriate for the neighbouring community, yet also meet the planning and housing need. In the Clapham area of Bedfordshire is a project that illustrates our flexibility and versatility as a developer. It sees us working on converting five barns into comfortable homes, underlining the potential of former agricultural buildings to become stylish residential properties in attractive rural locations. Our development at West Road, Gamlingay, in Cambridgeshire, will feature 13 homes – seven detached and six semi-detached properties. They are of three and four bedroom homes with a hi-tech appearance and use our new innovative timber-frame construction technique – with each bespoke section constructed on-site rather than in factory premises – and incorporating the latest French-made Actis insulation which offers energy efficiency of the highest levels.
