Badger Hill

Project Description

Development:   Badger Hill
Location:  Badger Hill
Year Completed:   2020

An amazing collection of unique homes built specifically for over 55’s.

The Result

Badger Hill is a brand new community in the heart of the Bedfordshire countryside, boasting shared landscaped spaces and well-maintained grounds.

We have designed and built 12 luxury two-bedroom bungalows offering the very best in open-plan living for the over 55s. Vaulted ceilings, efficient heating and insulation make for elegant, energy-smart homes, while huge walls of glass bring amazing views of woodland, hills and open countryside right to your doorstep.

We wanted life at Badger Hill to be about living. We sourced the latest fixtures and fittings, designed to make the owners life easier. Outside, our cladding doesn’t require painting so the house will keep its “brand new” look. We chose self-cleaning soffits and fascia boards too.

Inside, we created spacious bedrooms and kitted out our bathrooms and walk-in wet rooms with quality sanitaryware. Underfloor heating runs beneath each room, and we’ve selected a system that’s easy to set and control.

Our kitchens reflect the way we live today: modern, efficient appliances including rapid-boil hobs and fully integrated ovens. We also think it’s important to provide utility rooms.

Luxury, open-plan living means the owners were able to furnish their home in a way that suited them. Badger Hill is about living in stylish comfort rather than in a run-of-the-mill box.

This was an amazing opportunity to be part of a unique development for the over 55s, where you didn’t have to compromise your lifestyle in order to ensure ease of living.

Location:   Cowslip Lane
Year Completed:   2020

All phases now complete – If you can see yourself in a Maulden Vale home call us on 01525 409409 to find out about our new developments

The Result

With the final phase being completed in 2020, Cowslip Lane Gamlingay is a development that features 13 very unique homes. These comprise of seven detached and six semi-detached properties in a secluded corner of a Cambridgeshire village.

They are three and four bedroom properties which tap into the “techy” feel of Cambridge as a city with modern designs utilising Eternit cladding which projects a hi-tech hue. Some of the designs have a façade that appears to have a two-storey window effect on the forward-facing aspect of the large downstairs lounge and upstairs bedroom.

The three-bed properties are flexible and aimed at the retirement market so the downstairs bedroom, with a neighbouring toilet-shower room, can easily be adapted for use as a study. Other properties are of red-brick and coloured plaster finish.

What particularly sets these homes apart is the timber-frame construction so rather than being manufactured in factory premises, each bespoke section is constructed on-site and has been designed to incorporate the latest French-made Actis insulation which offers energy efficiency of the highest levels.

Location: Fisher’s Field, Maulden
Year Completed: 2014

The Project

Fishers Field is a gated community where a private road leads to 10 individually unique properties. Number 5 Fisher’s Field is a striking home with four bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. The kitchen/breakfast room, family room and a lounge with attractive sand-blasted tiles around the fireplace complete the accommodation. The property is of timber-framed construction, highly-insulated and energy efficient, with windows that look out onto a garden that wraps around the property, which also features a double garage.

9 Fisher’s Field is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. This property is part of a discreet terrace but has the styling of a barn conversion with wood cladding over timber-frame and brickwork.

The property features a kitchen/diner/lounge in one large open plan room with three upstairs bedrooms. The neighbouring terrace is in a similar style with a cottage-look to the end home. Each property has its own car port.

1  Fishers Field is an impressive six-bedroom property at the entrance to Fisher’s Field.

Moat Farm Barns

At a Glance

Location: Moat Farm Barns
Year Completed: 2015

The Project

A prestigious development of three and four bedroom homes at Moat Farm, Marston in Bedfordshire. The project at Moat Farm Barns saw an extensive development of a series of historic farm barns, which as agricultural structures have played an important part in the local farming heritage. Dating back to the 1870s, they have been beautifully and sensitively restored and revived to create high quality residential properties. Much of the original external appearance of the barns was retained, giving each new home the unique Bedfordshire country style, while the interiors are designed with modern features and technology and finished to extremely high standards.

It is a project which illustrates our flexibility and versatility as a developer in converting the barns into comfortable homes, underlining the continuing potential of former agricultural buildings to become stylish residential properties in attractive rural locations.
